Vince Guy – Has been training since 1998 and received his BJJ Black Belt from Gracie Barra Boston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Roberto Maia. He has competed and medaled in several NAGA tournaments and is the cheif BJJ instructor for Combat Fitness MMA. He has coached the University of Vermont Jiu Jitsu team for over 10 years, and has coached many athletes to victory in grappling arts and MMA.
Paul Santiago – is a life-long martial arts practitioner and holds the rank of Full Instructor in Paul Vunak’s Progressive Fighting Systems. He has competed in Muay Thai, BJJ, MMA and has studied a wide range of fighting systems including Muay Thai, JKD, FMA, Silat and Western Boxing.
Scott Kirby – A Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and holds the rank of Full Instructor in Paul Vunak’s Progressive Fighting Systems. He has competed in Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ and MMA. He is also a long time student of JKD, FMA, and Yang Style Tai Chi (under Sifu Bao Tak Fai).
Pat Gagnon – A guro in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali and a khru in Krabi-Krabong (Buddhai Sawan Method). Pat is also a veteran Dog Brothers fighter and has attained the fighter name ˜Green Mountain Dog.” He began his martial arts training in 2005 in freestyle kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Matt Lee and Team Elite in Clinton, MA. After training for a year, moves to New York City, Vancouver (Canada), and Boston, brought a shift in focus to combat arts. He began serious training in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali in 2006, and added Krabi-Krabong and Dog Brothers Martial Arts to his training regime in 2008. Since 2010, Pat fights regularly at Dog Brothers Gatherings and actively teaches and prepares fighters in Vermont and in the Boston metro area. He has also undergone immersed training in the Philippines and attends numerous seminars throughout North America.
Mark Malekis – became certified worldwide as a Judo black belt, via the Kodokan Institute of Tokyo, Japan, on 6/21/2007. On 2/7/2009, he was promoted to Nidan/2nd degree black belt, by Sensei Tomoji Kidachi (Shichidan/7th degree black belt), and has been certified as such by the US Judo Association (USJA) & USA Judo. He has competed and medaled in numerous tournaments. He has also studied in Manoa, Hawai’i, under Sensei George Tsubota (Kodokan Shichidan), with two former US Olympic coaches, and with numerous Olympians. Additionally, he is a brown belt in BJJ. Sensei Mark is Chief Judo Instructor at Combat Fitness MMA. He founded Combat Fitness’s Midori Yama (Green Mountain) Judo, in 2011, and is Head Coach for the University of Vermont’s Judo team.
Amber Farr – Has been training with Combat Fitness since 2012 in Muay Thai, BJJ, Judo, Boxing, Krabi-Krabong and FMA. She holds a Blue Belt in BJJ, and a Yellow belt in Judo. Amber also has 4 years of Wrestling experience. She teaches Muay Thai basics, and acts as a floating instructor for many other classes given her great breadth of experience.
